Mark Mickelson

PRESIDENT

Mark Mickelson, founder and President of Mickelson & Company, combines extensive experience in finance, law, and business development with a distinguished history in public service, reflecting his commitment to effective leadership and community engagement.

Prior to forming Mickelson & Company, Mark worked in finance and business development and also spent two years as an auditor with a large accounting firm. Mark is active as a private investor.

Mark currently serves on the board of Bristow Group, Inc., ISG Inc and as chair of the Southeast Technical College advisory council in Sioux Falls. Mark previously served in the South Dakota House of Representatives for six years with his last two years serving as the Speaker of the House. Mark served on a number of other community and state organizations including the South Dakota State Board of Economic Development and the Sioux Falls Development Foundation.

In 1988 Mark received a BS in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of South Dakota. He later acquired his CPA and in 1993 Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School. Mark has been married to his wife Cynthia for 27 years and they raised three adult boys: George, David, and Charlie. Mark and two of his boys are Eagle Scouts.
